Abstract: An experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of supplemental phosphorus (P) level on carcass traits and meat quality of broilers from 22 to 42 days of age. A total of 500 day-old Arbor Acres male broilers were fed the same corn-soybean meal complete diet containing 0.39% P for 21 days posthatching. On 22 days of age,360 birds were selected according to body weight and randomly divided into 10 treatment groups with 6 chicks per cage of 6 replicate cages for each treatment in a completely randomized design. Birds were fed a P-unsupplemented corn-soybean meal basal diet containing 0.09% P and the basal diets supplemented with 0,0.05%,0.10%,0.15%,0.20%,0.25%,0.30%,0.35%,0.40% and 0.45% P as CaHPO₄ (feed grade) for 21 days,respectively. The results showed that dietary proper P levels improved dressing percentage (P<0.1) and whole net carcass percentage (P<0.1) of broilers on 42 day of age. However,there were no significant differences in meat quality and other carcass traits among treatments(P>0.1).
